Signed in as staff, you see three settings tabs — Display, Sound and Account. Managers and admins see three more: Kitchen, Printers and Virtual.
This is why an instruction to "open Settings → Virtual Printer" sometimes finds no such tab.
Unlock them
- Open Settings.
- Tap Unlock all settings.
- Pick a manager or admin from the list and have them enter their PIN.
All six tabs are then available for the rest of the session. The unlock ends when the panel is closed, so it does not leave the screen open to changes.
Actions that ask for a PIN
Four things need a manager or admin PIN, whoever is signed in:
- Reject an order
- Void an order
- Refund an order
- Unlock all settings
Everything else — accepting, preparing, bumping, recalling, striking off items — is available to any signed-in user.
When there is no internet
PIN authorisation still works offline. The display keeps a secure copy of manager PINs for exactly this reason, so a network outage never stops you voiding an order.
Three wrong attempts locks PIN entry for five minutes.
