Change your merchant portal password

You change your own password from inside the portal, whether or not you are an admin.

1. On the Dashboard, select the Change Password tile if you are a staff user, or the Users tile if you are an admin.
2. Select Change Password in the left-hand list.
3. On the Change Your Password screen, fill in Current Password, New Password and Repeat New Password.
4. Select Set New Password.

Passwords are between 6 and 40 characters.

Changing somebody else's password

Editing another user's record is how you reset their password — see Add a staff login to the merchant portal. That route is admin-only, and it does not work on yourself: open your own record and the password fields are not shown. Use Change Password for your own.

If you cannot sign in at all

The merchant login screen has no "forgotten password" link. Ask another Admin user at your store to set a new password for you, or contact support. See I cannot sign in to the merchant portal.
