The MailerLite integration copies your customers' email addresses into one of your MailerLite groups, so you can send campaigns from MailerLite using your own templates.
Settings → MailerLite Integration. Admin only, and the MailerLite module has to be enabled for your store — otherwise the tab reads "The MailerLite module is not enabled on your account."
Connect
- Enter your API Key* and the Group ID* of the group you want customers added to. Both come from your MailerLite account.
- Select Save Changes.
- Select Sync Now.
A successful sync reports how many went across — "N customer email addresses syncronised".
If it fails you get Unable to connect to MailerLite - check your API Key and Group ID. That one message covers a wrong key, a wrong Group ID, and a group the key cannot reach — re-copy both rather than guessing which.
Point it at a group, not your whole subscriber base, so you can tell imported customers apart from people who signed up some other way.
It also runs by itself
Once the credentials are saved, a nightly job syncs every store that has them, so customers who order tomorrow are added automatically. Use Sync Now when you want the group current immediately, or to check the connection after changing a key.
Which customers are sent
Not all of them. A customer is sent only if all of these are true:
- Their account is active, or they are a guest.
- They have not opted out of marketing email.
- They have not turned off marketing for your store specifically.
- They have placed at least one order at your store, dated 2019 or later.
- They have not already been sent across on a previous sync.
Customers using an Apple private relay address (@privaterelay.appleid.com) are always skipped — mail to those addresses would not reach a real inbox you own.
A low number after a sync is therefore usually correct rather than a failure: most commonly, everyone eligible was already exported by an earlier run.
The important limitation — unsubscribes do not flow back out
Each customer is exported once, and the sync never revisits them.
A customer who unsubscribes from your offers after being exported stays in your MailerLite group. mypreorder's unsubscribe page, our opt-out records and the STOP handling on SMS have no reach inside MailerLite.
Once a list is in MailerLite, honouring unsubscribes on it is yours to do, in MailerLite. Keep sending through MailerLite's own unsubscribe footer so it records those opt-outs, and never re-import a cleaned list over the top of it.
MailerLite here versus MailerLite as your sending provider
These are two different things, and it is easy to confuse them:
- This page hands your customer list to MailerLite so you can build campaigns there.
- Settings → Email Settings uses a provider to send the mail that mypreorder itself generates — order emails, customer invitations and Customer Announcements. MailerSend is the provider we recommend there. See Send email from your own business address.
You can use both, one, or neither. Section 14 of the merchant terms applies whichever you choose — you are the sender.
