Everything on a card is designed to be read from across the kitchen. Here is what each part is telling you.
The header colour is the stage
The coloured bar across the top of each card shows which stage the order is at — New, Accepted, Preparing, Ready — not how late it is. Every stage has its own colour, and you can pick from four colour sets in Settings if the default is hard to read on your screen.
The flashing edge is the clock
Timing shows as a pulsing border around the whole card:

| Blue | A new order has just arrived |
| Orange | Due within the next 5 minutes |
| Red | Past its promised time |
A card with no pulse has more than five minutes to run.
If your site prefers the header colour itself to track time instead of the stage, a manager can switch that on with Timer Priority Colours in Settings, under Kitchen.
The band underneath is the order type
The coloured strip below the header names the order type — takeaway, delivery or dine-in — and carries the table number where there is one.
Payment
The card shows whether the order is paid or unpaid. Tap the payment icon to see the payment detail and verify a cardholder.
Notes
Customer notes and allergy warnings come across from the POS and appear highlighted on the card, so they are hard to miss.
