Set up a Star CloudPRNT receipt printer

Settings → Star Cloud Printer. Admin only. Supported models The following Star Printers have CloudPRNT capability: - Star mC print series: Star mC-Print2, Star mC-Print3, Star mC-Label3, Star MCP30. - Star TSP654II and Star TSP100IV The printer must be using an ethernet connection for CloudPRNT to work. Star Micronics does not support CloudPRNT over USB. Find the printer's IP address Type the printer's IP address into a browser to reach the Star Intelligent Network Utility. If you do not know it: turn the printer off, then on again while holding down the Feed button. After about a minute a second test print shows the IP address in use. Configure the printer In the Star Intelligent Network Utility: 1. Enable the CloudPRNT Service. 2. Set the Server URL to https://merchant.mypreorder.com.au/services/s/starprint.php 3. Set the polling time to no less than 30 seconds. For a kiosk printer, set it to 10 seconds. 4. Username and password can be ignored. 5. Note the MAC Address shown on the same page. Configure the portal Back in Settings → Star Cloud Printer: - MAC Address* — in the form XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX, exactly as the printer reports it. "Use a web browser to visit the IP address of your printer and find the MAC Address." - Printer Name* — "Use a unique printer name to assign menu items to specific printers. To print all orders to a single printer, set to 1. For Self-serve Kiosk printer, set to KIOSK." - IP Address — leave this blank for CloudPRNT. It is only for printing direct to the printer, and the help text is explicit: "entering an IP Address will disable CloudPRNT". Select Save Changes. More than one printer The portal form handles a single printer. If you need several — a kitchen printer and a bar printer, say — the tab shows "Contact us for assistance with your multi-printer set up." instead of the form. Buying one The screen links to the Star MCP30 from Officeworks, and to Star's own manuals for the mC-Print3 / MCP30 range. Contact us for other models, or use your existing hardware supplier.

Set up an Epson ePOS receipt printer

Settings → Epson ePOS Printer. Admin only. Supported models The following Epson printers support ePOS-Print: - Wi-Fi/Ethernet enabled models of the following TM printers: TM-m10, TM-m30, TM-P20, TM-P60II, TM-P80, TM-T88VI - The following TM printers that are equipped with UB-E04 or UB-R04: TM-T70, TM-T70II, TM-T88IV, TM-T88V, TM-L90, TM-U220, TM-U330 Enable ePOS-Print on the printer Visit EpsonNet Config in a browser at the printer's IP address. - If the IP address shows a Forbidden message, add /webconfig to the end of the URL and try again. - If authentication is required, the default username and password is usually epson. - ePOS-Print must be enabled, and the Device/Printer ID must match what you enter in the portal. The portal shows a screenshot of an Epson TM-m30's configuration page for reference, and turns your entered IP address into a clickable EpsonNet Config link once you type it in. Configure the portal - Device/Printer ID* — "Epson default Device ID is usually 'local_printer'." - Printer IP Address* - Printer Port* — "Common ports: 8008, 8043, 9001." Select Test Connection to check it, then Save Changes. Printing an order With an Epson ePOS printer configured, each order on the Orders screen gets Print Order in its More menu. Give the printer a fixed address Set a static IP address or a DHCP reservation on your router for the printer. The portal reaches it by address, so an address that changes overnight silently stops dockets printing.
