Surcharges are set per menu, in Menu Builder → Menu Settings, below the Preferences list. There are three, one per payment route.
Surcharge Online Payments
"Online orders: You may choose to add a surcharge for customers who pay at the online checkout."
Options:
- No surcharge
- Fixed amount
- Percent of order total
- Automatic
With Fixed amount or Percent of order total, type the figure in the box beside the dropdown.
Surcharge Offline Payments
"Online orders: You may choose to add a surcharge for customers who pay offline, e.g. cash or card on fulfilment."
Options are No surcharge, Fixed amount and Percent of order total.
Surcharge Eftpos Payments
"Kiosk orders: You may choose to add a surcharge for customers who pay using the eftpos terminal attached to your kiosk."
Options are No surcharge and Percent of order total.
Read the second half of that help text before you use it: "Do not use this option if your eftpos is set up to automatically surcharge payments." Terminals commonly surcharge on their own, and setting it here as well charges the customer twice.
Select Save Changes when you are done.
If every dropdown says "Not available on your plan"
Surcharges are a per-store option. That single greyed entry is what you see when it is off — contact us to have it enabled.
