An order lands on the left of the screen and moves through a set of stages until you clear it. This article covers the whole path.
The stages
| Stage | What it means |
|---|---|
| New | Just arrived. Not yet acknowledged |
| Accepted | You have acknowledged it, but not started |
| Preparing | Being made |
| Ready | Finished and waiting to go out |
| Completed | Handed over. Leaves the screen |
Two other outcomes exist: Rejected, for an order you turn down before starting, and Void, for one cancelled after it was accepted. Both need a manager PIN.
Move an order forward
Tap the coloured header at the top of the card. Each tap advances the order one stage. This is called bumping.
Orders that arrive as New show green Accept and red Reject buttons at the bottom of the card instead — use those first, then tap the header to keep moving.
If your site has auto-accept switched on, orders skip New and land as Accepted, so there are no Accept and Reject buttons to press.
Change how many taps it takes
Three taps to clear an order is the default, but it is a setting. If your kitchen bumps a lot of orders quickly, One-Tap Bump clears in a single tap with a five-second undo. See Change how many taps it takes to clear an order.
More actions
Tap the ⋮ button in the top-right corner of a card for everything else. The list changes with the stage the order is in, and includes:
- View Order — the full ticket, including the original receipt
- Print — send it to a physical printer
- Mark as Paid — for an unpaid order
- Set Priority — push it up the screen
- Return to Kitchen — pull a Ready order back to Preparing
- Refund, Void Order — both need a manager PIN
Done
The order disappears from the board once it reaches Completed. It is not gone — see Bring back an order you have already cleared.
