How customers pay is a menu preference, not a settings page.
- Open Menu Builder.
- Select Menu Settings in the left-hand list.
- Look under Preferences.
The two payment preferences
- Enable Online Payments — customers pay by card at the online checkout.
- Enable Offline Payments (e.g. Cash) — customers pay on collection or delivery.
Tick both to let the customer choose. Tick neither and there is no way to complete an order, so leave at least one on.
Select Save Changes at the bottom of the tab.
The other preferences on the same list
- Online store always open, Automatically open online store, Automatically close online store — see Open or close your store for online orders.
- Require registration (disable checkout as guest) — forces customers to create an account. Note that a promotion code limited to One use per customer cannot be enforced against a guest, so turn this on if that matters to you.
- Enable Order Notes — lets the customer type a note, which appears on the order card under NOTE FROM CUSTOMER:.
- Display Images — shows your product photos to customers.
Which fulfilment types you offer
Directly above, under Modules:
- Enable Pickup/Takeaway
- Enable Dine-in at Table
- Enable Dine-in Bookings
- Enable Delivery
Dine-in and delivery options only appear if those modules are enabled for your store.
Each menu is separate
If you run both a Preorder Menu and a Catering Menu, each has its own Menu Settings. Switch between them with the buttons at the top right of Menu Builder.
